When in Derby…..

My new employers, Motorpoint, have sent me to Derby for 3 days training. As well as being accomodated in a rather splendid hotel for two nights they have looked after us very well and have educated us all about core values which I didn’t know existed but I certainly do now!

We finished just after 4 o’clock and once I got back to the hotel I donned my running kit and went for a bit of a bimble round Derby. Hadn’t a clue where I was going therefore I was rather pleased that I only had to retrace my steps once and so this is the run that I rather enjoyed tonight!

It is currently my intention to get up early and go for another run tomorrow morning but intentions and actuality are rarely the same for me – see you tomorrow!

About JovialGnome

Heavily into running 20 years ago with a PB of 1.42.00 in the Shrewsbury Half Marathon in 1985 and 3.48.49 in the Telford Marathon in 1986 - then for some reason I just stopped and have done little or no physical exercise between then and 2 or 3 years ago! I've now moved to Boston in Lincolnshire where I really enjoy looking after my 13 Ryeland ewes and 1 ram and am rejoicing in the distinct lack of hills! I suspect that sub 4 hour marathons are gone forever but hey, I'm having a great time trying!
