Let’s go round again

Five of the clock this morning saw me once again clambering out of bed and into my running kit before wobbling round the streets of Boston in my pursuit of a Janathon full house. As always, despite the unseemliness of the hour, I enjoyed my five mile run and was quite happy to get back indoors before the incessant rain started.

New running shoes for the year ahead

I was also rather pleased to take delivery (well actually my neighbour did ’cause UKMail wouldn’t leave it without a signature) of my new running shoes for the forthcoming year. They are Nike Zoom Structure Triax +14, Asics GT2160, and Brooks Adrenaline GTS11 and are the latest models of the shoes I’m currently happily running in which I alternate from day to day and which all have just about a month of life left – going to be hard to ignore them whilst I wear the current ones out!

About JovialGnome

Heavily into running 20 years ago with a PB of 1.42.00 in the Shrewsbury Half Marathon in 1985 and 3.48.49 in the Telford Marathon in 1986 - then for some reason I just stopped and have done little or no physical exercise between then and 2 or 3 years ago! I've now moved to Boston in Lincolnshire where I really enjoy looking after my 13 Ryeland ewes and 1 ram and am rejoicing in the distinct lack of hills! I suspect that sub 4 hour marathons are gone forever but hey, I'm having a great time trying!
