My tiny hands were frozen

As were many other parts of my anatomy! That’s because I was foolish enough to head out for my weekly long run before the sun had risen above the horizon but as I was planning on being out for over three hours a reasonably early start was called for. It was a little frosty underfoot though not too bad but I had to smile to myself for as I jogged past the Princess Royal Sports Arena a couple of girls stopped me to ask what it was like underfoot and my lips were so cold I struggled to form the words to tell them! As we jogged off in opposite directions I did wonder if they thought I was drunk. Which is another thing I saw whilst running through Boston; at least three seperate groups of young men in tracksuit bottoms and hoodies staggering about all over the place and obviously under the influence of some substance or other – at 7 o’clock in the morning!

These diversions aside I rather enjoyed my 17 mile run and some hours later am still feeling reasonably sprightly (all things are relative!) which has to be a bit of a bonus! Let’s hope that this state of affairs continues for some time into the future.

I’m afraid you have now seen all my sheeps so today, back by popular demand we have Molly (Weasley) and her daughter Ginny (Weasley).

About JovialGnome

Heavily into running 20 years ago with a PB of 1.42.00 in the Shrewsbury Half Marathon in 1985 and 3.48.49 in the Telford Marathon in 1986 - then for some reason I just stopped and have done little or no physical exercise between then and 2 or 3 years ago! I've now moved to Boston in Lincolnshire where I really enjoy looking after my 13 Ryeland ewes and 1 ram and am rejoicing in the distinct lack of hills! I suspect that sub 4 hour marathons are gone forever but hey, I'm having a great time trying!
