Two runs today

But not because I’m uber keen more that my car was in for a service and I have no one to collect me or take me back (all say aaaah!). The first run was back from the garage on pretty much virgin snow and I did find it quite hard work especially as I had to keep leaping onto the grass verge for passing cars.

Some six hours later and I was heading back there but this time the roads were mostly clear though the pavements were a touch on the slushy side. My transport is costing me a fortune this month, full service, new front brake pads and replacement fog lamp – £410!! Still, at least I might be able to run a bit quicker with empty pockets! Distance for Janathon so far = 146 miles so with a bit of luck I might just squeeze over the 200 mile mark.

Struggling a bit for sheep of the day pictures, here’s one of the new girls and one of Molly with Ginny & Goyle in the background

About JovialGnome

Heavily into running 20 years ago with a PB of 1.42.00 in the Shrewsbury Half Marathon in 1985 and 3.48.49 in the Telford Marathon in 1986 - then for some reason I just stopped and have done little or no physical exercise between then and 2 or 3 years ago! I've now moved to Boston in Lincolnshire where I really enjoy looking after my 13 Ryeland ewes and 1 ram and am rejoicing in the distinct lack of hills! I suspect that sub 4 hour marathons are gone forever but hey, I'm having a great time trying!

I did something similar when my car was in the shop. Made my coworkers think I was nuts, but that’s okay. Sorry about the financial damage on the car. Sigh.

My goodness, what cute sheep you have! And your mileage this month isn’t bad either. Keep up the good effort, even once you have the car back 🙂
